It will be free, and this page sets out why

No tiers, no seat count, no trial that expires, and no feature held back for a paid edition that does not exist. What follows is the honest account of what free means here and what it does not.
When it is listed

Free

For every Jira Cloud site, every edition, every user count.

You still need your own manufacturer credentials, which are issued by Dell, Lenovo and HP rather than by us, and may carry costs of their own.

What is included

  • The dashboard, with tile filters, search and CSV export
  • The warranty card on every hardware work item
  • The settings page, with field discovery
  • Dell, Lenovo and HP adapters
  • Pre-scan, sync, the daily sweep and expiry issues
  • Any estate up to 10,000 devices
  • Every user in your site, with no per-user count
  • Support by email, on the terms in the Support and Maintenance description

Why free, and what pays for it

Nothing is being collected

The usual answer to “why is this free?” is that the product is the data. It is not that here. There is no analytics, no telemetry, no beacon and no licence check — not disabled by default, but absent, and the three-host allowlist is how you can check rather than take our word for it.

It is genuinely cheap to run

A 100% Forge-native app has no servers, no database and no hosting bill. Compute and storage are Atlassian’s, inside your own site. The marginal cost of one more installation is close to nothing, which is what makes free sustainable rather than promotional.

It is the front of a wider strategy

WarrantySync is the free part of a wider asset lifecycle product line from ITSM Ltd, and we would rather it were widely used than narrowly sold. That is the commercial motive, stated plainly, so you can weigh it yourself.

Questions that come up at purchase

Is it free now, or free forever?

It will be free when it is listed, with no expiry and no seat limit, and we have no plan to charge for what is described on this site. What we can actually promise is what clause 6.1 of the End User Terms says: a change to the fee would not apply to the subscription term you are already in — for a free Marketplace app that is the licence period Atlassian records for you, typically a year — and we would give at least 30 days’ notice of it. Clause 12.5 also lets us withdraw the app on 90 days’ notice. Neither is a plan; both are in the document, so they belong on this page too.

What is certain rather than promised: the app contains no licence check and no metering, so nothing inside it can stop working on a date, whatever happens to us.

What counts as a user?

Nothing does. There is no per-user pricing and no seat count. Every licensed user of your Jira site can open the dashboard, and anyone who can view a work item can see the warranty card on it.

Are there paid tiers, or features held back?

No. Everything on the features page is in the app, including the list of things it deliberately does not do. Where a capability depends on your Atlassian edition rather than on us — Jira Service Management Assets needs JSM Premium or Enterprise — the app works against Jira work items instead, on any edition.

Do the manufacturer credentials cost anything?

That is between you and the manufacturer. Dell TechDirect API access is self-service and typically included with your account. Lenovo and HP issue their warranty API credentials through your account manager, and terms vary by agreement. We do not resell, broker or mark up any of them, and the app ships with none of its own.

What support comes with a free app?

Email support at support@itsm-ltd.com, on the published targets in the Support and Maintenance description. Those are response targets rather than resolution guarantees, and the document says which is which.

Free is not the interesting part

The interesting part is that it installs with no credentials and tells you the size of the problem on the first run. If it turns out there is no problem, you have lost an afternoon and nothing else.
